Branding an industrial product as a consumer-focused solution.

A product campaign for blueCompact from Winkhaus.
blueCompact is the first electronic locking system targeted at private households from Winkhaus. We supported the shift from a B2B to a B2C product, covering everything from product design, campaign, packaging, and software UX to point of sale.

From industry to entryway.

Winkhaus, a leader in B2B locking systems, wanted to break into the consumer market. With blueCompact, they introduced an electronic locking solution designed for every household. Our task: turn high-spec tech into an approachable, desirable product experience.

Unlocking simplicity.

Managing locking systems used to require clunky desktop tools. We designed a mobile-first app experience that felt effortless, intuitive and familiar – putting control back in the hands of everyday users.

Visuals that speak to regular people.

We built the campaign on product-led visuals and no-nonsense headlines. From “Simply more security” to “No cloud – no worries”, every message focused on clarity and reassurance. Our image language extended into motion graphics and photography, ensuring consistency across all channels.

Bringing the brand to life.

blueCompact became more than a product – it became an experience. We created a full communication toolkit: flyers, brochures, quick start guides, a microsite, and trade show materials.
All assets were designed to feel as smart and user-friendly as the product itself.

A launch with impact.

The brand debuted at the opening of Winkhaus’ new factory in Münster. In its first 90 days, the app recorded over 1,000 downloads. With campaign rollouts in nine languages, blueCompact quickly proved: security doesn’t have to feel complicated.
